Where is your studio located?

YES! I pride myself in being trained by some of the best in the newborn photography industry. Your newborns safety is my priority, so with that, I will typically have another newborn photographer in the studio with me to help spot your newborn and make sure they are 100% safe.

F&Q

NWA newborn photography services

My studio address is 180 Industrial Circle. Suite A. Tontitown, AR 72762.  This space is FULL of newborn props, bows, outfits, backdrops, truly anything you can think of for your session, I likely have it stashed in my studio. I don’t typically show moms everything because it tends to overwhelm them. But if you’d like a tour, just let
me know!

I started my photography journey in 2017, however after some deep thought, I specialized in motherhood photography in 2020. Worst time to niche down, right? But honestly it’s been the biggest blessing ever!

How long have you been photographing for?

In 2011, my first daughter, Sydney, was born. Unfortunately she was born stillborn. With that, we had the NILMDTS program come into the hospital and take pictures of her, as that’s the only thing we would be able to remember her by. I wanted to do photography for that program, however after some deep thought, I realized it would be pretty triggering, so I decided living babies it was! Now I absolutely love rainbow babies and will always photograph them if given the chance.

Absolutely! I have a small collection of flow-y different colored dresses available to moms for their session. They are all sized XL, however if they are large on you, we can clip them to fit you.

Do you have a client closet?

Of course! I do allow for 1-2 small sentimental items to be brought in, if known about ahead of time. I want you to be able to cherish your portraits, however I do also want to ensure my studio stays clean for my other tiny clients, so that’s why I limit the items.

Can we bring in props?

I recommend newborns being photographed between 5-21 days. I have photographed newborns up through 7-8 weeks, however it is MUCH harder to get poses when they are older. I do like to schedule around the 8 day mark though, as newborns tend to be the sleepiest at that time (getting you in and out quickly and back to your comfy space).

When does my newborn get photographed?

This is dependent on the collection you choose as well as your newborn. Essentially your newborn will run the show, so I will do everything I can within the time frame given. If your newborn is sleepier, then we are likely to get the max done. If they are awake and not calm, I will need the time to calm them and try to convince them to be in the cute poses you love the most.

How long are studio sessions?

What made you choose motherhood & newborns?

Not at all! I will never force you to take pictures if you don’t want them, however I do request that you at least think about it. This is your very first professional family portrait after all.

Do we have to do family pictures?

As much as a I would love to do that, it’s a timing issue. As I have stated before, the session is baby led. I can’t force your newborn to do anything. If they are wanting to be awake, I have to ensure they are calm and then make sure they are safe. If they are awake during posing, it could get dangerous, and that’s the last thing I want for them. The curly poses do take time to get into, and an hour wouldn’t give me enough time essentially.

Why can’t we do curly poses during a mini?
